Academy Volleyball Club
About
Academy Volleyball Club was formed to increase athletes’ abilities who strive to compete at a higher level. We believe in improving each athlete as an individual and as a team. Our focus is on making the athletes better by teaching fundamentals, leadership, and volleyball IQ. We provide athletes a chance to develop their volleyball skills and compete in local, state, and national events. Academy provides volleyball instruction and training to girls ages 10-18 in and around Maryland, VA and DC. We are always looking to train new athletes and welcome them into our family.
Academy is affiliated with USA Volleyball (USAV) as a member of the USAV Chesapeake Region. The Chesapeake Region is a member of USAV and oversees junior volleyball coordination within its region. USAV is the National Governing Body for the sport of volleyball in the United States and is recognized by the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) and the United States Olympic Committee. USAV, through its Rules Interpreter implements FIVB rules for its members. USA Volleyball hosts the prestigious US Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships, which many clubs strive to qualify for throughout their club season.
Academy offers highly experienced coaches to run our club and training sessions. Coaches are former Division I, II and III athletes and/or college coaches. We believe the quality of coaches directly correlates to the development of our athletes.
