AEVC HISTORY
Atlanta Extreme Volleyball Club is a youth volleyball club founded in 2009 by current Head Director and CEO, Lauren Sands. In the inaugural season, AEVC consisted of 22 athletes on 2 teams. The following season, AEVC grew to 7 teams. As the club grew each year at an astonishing rate, AEVC saught out to find a facility that could house the club and all of its teams. In January 2014, we opened a 4 court facility off Brogdon Road in Suwanee, known as Atlanta Volleyball Academy (AVA). AVA is the home of Atlanta Extreme Volleyball Club. In February 2016, AVA expanded and took over the entire 22,500 sq. ft. facility and added 2 indoor sand courts and an area designated for strength and conditioning. In the 2021-2022 club season, AEVC had a total of 43 teams, 451 athletes, and 78 staff members and still continues to grow each year. The main focus for AEVC is the development of the sport and its players for the purpose of skill development and lifetime enjoyment.
