Oiler Attack History


In 2004, the inaugural year of the club, Oiler Attack Club (OAC) built the foundation with 8 teams.  There were a total of 68 athletes representing 19 different schools.  The Club had teams from 13 and under to 18 and under.  The OAC 18 Black squad received an invitation to the Jr. National Invite in Austin, TX and 4 of their players went on to play in college.  OAC teams won 5 different tournaments during the 2004 season.  

In 2005, OAC hosted eleven teams from the ages of 8-18.  There were 101 athletes in this select group, representing 29 different schools.  OAC offered its first open team, 16 Black.  16 Black competed in several major championships including a 3rd place finish at the National Invitational in Louisville, KY.  Many of the OAC club teams finished high at the Ohio Valley Regional Championships including 2nd place overall finishes by 15 and 17 Black in Club. 

In 2006, OAC hosted 15 teams with players between the ages of 8-18.  There were 129 athletes representing 37 different schools.  The 17 Black team qualified for USA Nationals in Atlanta with a 6th place finish at the OVR Bid.  They were also able to finish in the top 5 in both the Mideast Qualifier and the Northern Lights Qualifier as well as finishing 9th at AAU Nationals in Orlando.  16 Black and 10 Black combined to finish 1st in Gold in a total of 7 tournaments. 

In 2007, OAC hosted 16 teams at The University of Findlay as well as hosting 7 team out of Marion, OH and one team out of Dayton, OH.  There were a total of 232 players representing 51 schools.  The 18 Black team qualified for USA Nationals in Minneapolis, MN with a 3rd place finish at the OVR Bid. 

In 2008, OAC hosted a total of 25 teams in Findlay, Marion and Dayton with over 235 athletes representing 55 schools.  The 16 Black team competed at USA Nationals in Dallas, TX by qualifying at the OVR Bid.  

In 2009, OAC hosted a total of 22 teams in Findlay and Marion with 
over 190 athletes representing 52 schools.  The 12 Black and 17 Black teams both qualified for USA Nationals in Miami, FL marking the first time we had qualified multiple teams to USA Nationals.  The 13 Black
team finish 3rd at The Asics National Championships in Chicago, IL. 

In 2010, OAC hosted 22 teams in Findlay with over 200 athletes representing 55 schools.  The 14 Black team finished 5th at the East
Coast Championships in Pittsburgh, PA

In 2011, OAC hosted 16 teams in Findlay with over 140 athletes
representing 36 schools.  The 13 Black team won the North Coast
Power League and also finished 3rd in Open at AAU Nationals in
Orlando, FL.
